Visited Gay Pride in London on Saturday (04/07/09), mainly to see how it compares against the New York parade I visited with friends on the last leg of our visit to New York.
Further photos of the parade preparation can be found on my Flickr set: http://is.gd/1ohky
The parade started in Baker Street, which is where all the preparations for floats, costumes and so on were taking place, or so it appeared. I say that because it was literally a 2 minute walk from one end of the street to the other and we saw everything as there was nothing else further. Pretty poor I thought. New York was a stark contrast in size, atmosphere and everything else. Needless to say, we didn't stick around for long.
