Oi; if you're going to try to support a point, don't copy off Wikipedia next time. Seriously, if you don't know what the heck you're talking about, you can just admit it.

Thank you for your comment. I have always believed Ruffian was the best of all time. Never headed and never lost. She ran under no whip but still buried every field against whom she ran. In every race she either equaled or set a new track and/or race record time. Some of her record times still stand, 30 plus years later. If ever a horse was born to run, it was the great Ruffian. She was one of a kind.

What records are you talking about? No record never was held by Ruffian. Theonly special thing about her is that she ran herself to death. Harakiri horse.

She had heart than any horse I've ever seen. You can see it in every race she ran especially in the derby. She ran the race of her life in the derby trying to run down that over-hyped, steriod junky, Big Brown. (We all saw how good Big Brown was off the juice. He lost a mile and half race by a mile in the Belmont.) She may have been second that day but she was a champion in every sense of the word. She will not be forgotten. Run free girl, you will live forever in our hearts,
