FAQ...
WHAT IF I HAVE THE OLD CHANNEL?
The process is pretty much the same. You can steal my background, put it on your page, then mess with your modules and transparency settings. You will quickly see what needs to be adjusted, then fix it up in photoshop. In order to add boxes with the old channel design you'll have to remove a module or two to make room.
IS THERE AN EASIER TEMPLATE FOR THIS?
Yep. http://www.PimpMeFTW.com
DOES IT HAVE TO BE JUST BOXES?
Nope. You can put mini movie posters or whatever.
I'M LOST ONCE I PUT YOUR BACKGROUND IN PHOTOSHOP!
My background is your template. You need to add your own text, logos, and pics to it. Basically, take the boxes I have in the template and place new black rectagles over them. Then type your content on top of that. You want to cover up my stuff with your own stuff.
WAIT. SO THIS IS JUST A BACKGROUND. RIGHT?
Yep.
MY PROFILE SECTION COVERS EVERYTHING!
You can trim the profile section OR go back to the template and move the boxes further down or to a place they will fit. Luckily it isn't rocket science. Just put the boxes where they can be seen. If you need to move them further down you'll have to make the template longer. See last FAQ.
CAN I MAKE MORE BOXES THAN YOU HAVE?
Yep. It's all about messing with the "Modules." If you move all the modules to the right, you could get a whole bunch of boxes down the left side. BUT...You will have to extend the length of the template.
HOW DO I EXTEND THE TEMPLATE?
On the Photoshop toolbar go to "Image," then "Canvas Size." Don't mess with the width! But change the height to whatever you need. This will take a bit of trial and error to make it exact.
