why is it that people assume that a superior being, more powerful, would automatically destroy all weaker beings? Some sort of machiavellian, social darwinist paradigm. I really don't think they spend their time thinking about killing people. They don't get turned into psychos by watching violent hollywood movies. Their minds are turned to more constructive things, like interplanetary travel, exploration, research.

Could be that. Some people have reported UFOs sucking up water. Maybe they use it as fuel or something. Who knows. I feel like a monkey trying to work out what a helicopter is...

But WHY are they traveling/searching? Could it not be they're searching for things like FOOD, WATER, FUEL (whatever it may be for them), or simply a habitable space for an expanding population?

Humans won't reach our pinnacle of space travel until we NEED to leave. I presume any specie/culture that has left their home-world also left with a NEED in mind.

If we were in the way...do you think they'd find a way around us?

The reason is that the history of this world has shown us time and time again that when a society of technological superiority comes into contact with a civilization of inferior technology, the superior overtakes the inferior. It happened with the blacks in Africa, the Aborigenees in Australia, the Indians in the Americas, and many other instances I can't think of off the top of my head.

if aliens were a threat they would have killed us by now,,,,they are human beings albeit different in appearance but human none the less,,,these beings have more respect for life than most humans,,,...they have given us technology and treated us with more respect then we have treated them. We have treated the "embassedors" like prisoners and medically abused them out of greed. Those at the top are greedy and abuse all thechnology given to them. At least the species in which I refer.
