  • Hello my friend. I like the Ancient Greek language. When I was eleven years old, I went with my family to Athens. The Acropolis was beautiful and we also visited Sunion. Someday I hope to be able to read the text of Aristotle and Plato in Ancient Greek. I have been writing down the alphabet and trying to learn it. How long did it take you to learn Ancient Greek? On the internet, can one find Ancient Greek text to read? I hope to hear from you my friend, Voorster

  • @voorster Hi there! Thanks for your comment. We do understand Ancient Greek. There some difficulties here and there but, we do. There used to be a site on Internet with lots of manuscripts in original but, just can't remember the address. However I intend to make lots of videos with readings and stuff. Maybe they can help you. Try to make a visit on my playlist called ancient Greek Poetry recited and sung. There some cools readings there. Hope this help.

    Good readings.

    Konstantinos Katsouranis

  • Thanks, I love Greek! Nice penmanship; just think what the Greeks could have accomplished if they had had felt-tipped markers!!

  • want to learn it because i am currently learning latin but this is so much harder

  • i got a part in the play "Persephone" and i will play as Electra. This should help me to add more realism to the play :3. I've always been interested in Greek languages and Culture specially after learning that my name (Dafne) is mentioned as one of the Greek nymphs who got turned into a tree in order to escape Apollo

  • I'm learning ancient greek at school. I really love it so far.

  • Hello,

I was very surprised when I heard that you don't use the historical greek pronunciation but another one I suppose is the Erasmian... I was curious so I checked your profile and you are Greek. So, if I may ask it: why don't you use then the real historical Greek pronunciation? Some scholars say that the wrong called 'modern' pronunciation is the result of the vulgarization of Ancient Greek, but the fact is that this pronunciation is the only historical certified.
