Song from Mastodon's 'Leviathan'. Enjoy!

Myth or legend
Nymph tale washed ashore
Near the kraken sleepeth stirs coral and bone
Infinite city
No sexy sneer
Hideous creation
Human and animal
Banter songs of rudeness to be adhered
Not on rocks that glisten
Harps to listen
Comb hair
Tear right to pieces
Left to recess a watery grave
Sensing the blood of prey
Swimming in fear for life
Rolling over
Falling into jaws
Teeth that chatter
It distracts them all
The Fiji mermaid
She will let it know
Time is coming to feed and knaw

  • Melville would have probably appreciated this

  • @otterspotter and Crack the Skye

  • That part leading up to that Dixie riff that explodes into that fast thrash part is probably my favorite moment in any heavy metal song. "Remission" and "Leviathan" definitely the best things to happen in the heavy metal genre in a decade.

  • @TheCrunchitizer It's not that a lot of bands rip off of Metallica, it's the fact that Metallica makes such generic riffs that almost any filler-type song has the potential to sound like a Metallica song. true story =P

  • @TheCrunchitizer

Lol. Piss off. It just sounds a bit similiar. The Metallica riff isn't some wildly imaginative riff either. It's not beyond that realms of possibility that it's a coincidence. Listen to more Mastodon. They don't need to rip off bands. They are fucking excellent on their own.

  • I like the metallica rip off. Clever.

  • whole song BRUTALL

  • the end is epic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the riff at 1:20 sounds a little country but I like it

  • This sounds like Sanitarium. You know WITH DIFFERENT NOTES!
