  • George Martin says that only the horns in the orchestra played the D7 because of an accident in the scoring but it sounded so hauntingly beautiful that he left it in. Check out Beatles Anthology.

  • That accident was amazing! if you sing the song and try to end in D major the vocal sounds funny. Just watch Silver Hammer do it.

  • Very good, I will give you an A for your chord recognition...LOL. Too many people are getting wrapped around the axle way too much on details when there are some of us out here who may not want to be clones of the original...I'm just having fun banging out the tunes. Looks like you have a very good handle on things, thanks for the response.

  • I just wanted to give a hard time (joking) because you are an amazing player. I also dig your gear. I am also envious of y0our great vocals.

    CIAO!

  • This is the most hilarious video I've seen all day!! LOL. "that is a D7" is the quote of the week! BTW, great ear, I almost didn't catch the 7 when I was learning this. Kudos!

  • Um could you do the specifics other then the d7 part

  • D7. I wood have played the ending similarly but I got major fret buzz up high, its just a toy ax. MNS - one of the most amazingly beautiful ENDINGS ever. Beatles had great endings. Endings are important THX for cutin the vid :)

  • @PookieAndBuddyShow

I listened to the White Album version closely - with L & R channels separated. The guitar is definitely playing a D major, while the horn part makes it a D7.

Also, the ending (as shown here in the JGarcia658 video) is overdubbed on the Beatles album - the main guitar part (Left channel) at the end of the song is the same as in the verse. McCartney just added these beautiful chords later (Right channel).

  • Very nice job - great ear! A lot of people online offering Beatles tutorials are pretty good, but get their songs only 90-95% correct. But a few (like you) clearly know what you are doing.

  • wow an amazing shet lesson come on that is not a lesson

  • con u go 100% slower plz!!!!!

  • Paul's songs include him sliding up and down the guitar, sounds sweet =]

  • American Idol in the TV!

  • Nice arrangement and great technique. BRAVO
