This is a really unique bale loader for Allis Chalmers round bales. This unit was built in Fairbury Il not by Allis themselves. The video was at the 2008 Orange Spectacular in Hutchinson MN.

  • @chazz154 you are exactly right..thats how round baling was done back in the 40's..50's...that era

  • Wtf are those lol they look like little round bales and they look like they wiegh about the same a a mini square bale

  • Did they sell many?

  • That is to easy!!!! Many years on the rack hookin. I would more than likley loose an arm with that thing!!

  • I have the priviledge of personally knowing the inventors/builders of this bale loader. They were quite the innovators. The one writer is correct in that in using this loader you had to be careful as to direction otherwise the twine wrapping and perhaps the bale could become undone. In all respects though the loader did save a lot of manual effort; I can attest to that - many hot days on a bale wagon to prove it.

  • We used bale hooks and muscle. It worked I guess. It looks like this machine would unroll the bale if picked up from the wrong way, unless the bales were hand tied like we did.

  • nice traktor
