No Security Fencing At All
On Friday the 25th of Feb at 5:15pm
I was riding my pushbike home alongside a train line. I just passed Flemington Bridge Station and was heading towards Royal Park Station. While riding i noticed a German Sheperd on my right over the other side of the tracks, it had got the scent of something and was sniffing it.The dog then came onto the tracks and continued to sniff, at this point i heard a train It was leaving the station as it tooted, i started to whistle and get the attention of the dog but to no avail, the train then came along side me i was yelling and screaming at the driver to stop ! At this stage the driver passed me and was tooting at the dog, the dog then looked back and then bolted up the line in front of the train, the driver then spead up the train and hit the dog with his horn still going, the diver then slowed and stopped with the dog caught under the front wheels ( the drivers side ) I then questioned the driver, about what was he doing and what he had done his reply was that these things are hard stop, I said to him that you seen the dog and you could have avoided hitting it.Meanwhile the dog was convulsing under the wheel, passengers were trying to see what was happening. The driver then just drove off with the dog still there, approx 50 mtrs further down the track the dog split in half with its back part of its body in the centre of the tracks and the front half on the outside of the track near the bike track, the train had now gone and i looked over to my right to see the owner of the dog looking down to where it was she then put her hands to her face and turned and went in the opposite direction.
