  • Ive heard all the greatest trombone players but ive never heard anyone play bone like this.He swings so much harder than Mc Chesney and plays lines that are incredibly hard to execute.

  • Thanks for the kind words, very much appreciated but I think Bob sounds great and his 'doodle studies and etudes' book is informative.

  • Elliot Mason.... innovative, progressive and awe-inspiring.... a modern master of the jazz trombone.... phenomenal!!!

  • No wonder his guns are so big! Moving around that fast! Awesome playing! It's not just the speed, it's the language he's speaking.

  • Elliot Mason is revolutionizing the way you can improvise on trombone, he is quickly becoming to trombone what Chris Potter is to sax. Its a shame that there isn't much of his work out there but what is blows my mind

  • @elliotmason What's the title of the middle song?

  • @CameronKerl

There are 3 songs on this video.

The middle tune is on the album and we trade on a similar sequence as the first track. I've posted a video response of us recording the album, it has a slice from most of the tunes on the album.

    Hope you enjoy, -Elliot

  • Best 'bone player I've heard... great tone, time, lines... a pleasure to listen to.

  • That passage from 6:55 -7:03 is the most incredible line I've ever heard on a brass instrument.

  • I can't believe what I am actually seeing. wow. wow. WOW!!!!!!!

  • there is only one way to make the trombone move that fast.... bacon grease. don't get none on yo' self.
