The Admirations - Don't Leave Me

Nice up-tempo Soul from this Chicago group of family and friends. Recorded in '68 for One-derful Records, these kids were 15 or 16 when they made this great record. Comparisons of their sound to the Five Stairsteps are not out of bounds, as the Burkes were, along with the Dells, the heroes of the day in the Windy City. Also posted is the flip 'All My Love', another sweet sound from The Admirations. Hope you enjoy one of my favorites.

grew up with these gentlemen on the no. side of chicago in the cabrini green homes,use to sing against them in the basement of 1017 no larrabee st. the other side was the side they released call wait till i gey to know you,check it you just might like.

This brings brings back memories of my childhood, I would love to find the single that gave them notoriety "Wait til I Get to Know You". The Childs Brothers did Chicago and the Cabrini Green Projects very proud. Thanks Fellas!!
