  • THESE BIKES WERE GORGEOUS! I BOUGHT A NEW ONE IN 1967 FOR $1,400 IN PHOENIX AZ, (SHOP WAS IN TEMPE). MINE HAD STAINLESS STEEL FENDERS & MONOBLOC CARBS. STOLEN IN 1968 ON MY BIRTHDAY AT ASU !! WENT OUT & BOUGHT A NEW 1968 FOR $1,500. I HAVE A GREAT STORY ABOUT MEETING REGGIE JACKSON AT THE DEALER THE DAY HE PICKED UP HIS NEWLY PURCHASED BONNEVILLE WITH CUSTOM PAINT & SEAT. THANKS FOR VIDEO, RICH

  • @critchley3819 awesome, yes, ridden all my life too, its a wonder we both still here ay , enjoying riding more than ever now , have a TL1000S, shes fast, noisy and aggresive to ride and yes still taking on the young guns now and then, this bonneville im hoping to get does sound nice and is the best one ive ridden , never ridden a commando , would like to, yes they where quick and good looking to, like the bonneville. cheers.

  • @atreewithnolife I think it was aubagine, I do kind of like the new ones and they dont need near as much maintanence, they are really good to ride and have a smoother running engine but they dont look quite as good or sound the same,I grew up with these 60s pommy bikes and rode them all, I bought some new and lots of second hand and when I look back I realise how lucky I am to still be alive,I lived life on the wild side and was always ready for a race even in the rain , Commandos are fast

  • @critchley3819 im the same age as you, rode one in 1968, never forgot it, buying a new one soon, feels and sounds like the old one, but you cant beat the original thing!

  • This was my very first road registerd motorcycle I was 16 & nine months + 1 day I dont think the motor ever cooled down for a month Im 58 now still love my bikes the colour was if I can spell it right ,ARBAGINE

  • A timeless classic machine. I've owned two of them. I plan to buy one more and KEEP It this time. Great bike!
