  • Well, I think it's fair to say that Pages From Ceefax is more interesting than GMT any day of the week ;)

  • I had no idea BBC1 were starting the day with a menu and a bit of music as late as 1993...

Also this was the morning that GMTV launched. Interesting to see BBC1 countered that with...an hour of Ceefax! :-)

  • @JB1601 HA HA HA!!! : )

    excellent.

  • @SimonB198207 I'm good thanks. 2009 is going really well - looks like Gordon brown is going to win the next election after all, Egypt and Tunisia are looking really stable and I think I might pop down to Zavvi - love that shop.

  • @JB1601 oh yeah, i remember getting up early on saturday mornings back in '96 / '97 and seeing ceefax playing away with a mellow tune over the top...

i notice your comment was posted 2 years ago, so... hello to you from the year 2011.... how are ya?

  • Playdays.. <3

  • It's the same thing - the 'C' stands for 'Children's' and was already informally called 'CBBC' from just a few years after it started.

  • They didn't even bother to pretend that it was live, what with it being light at 7am in Winter!

  • This was Childrens BBC not CBBC in those days

  • Wasn't ST Tiggywinkle's Hospital featured in a CITV programme?

  • does anyone have the racoons on ice?
