  • Thanks a lot, I just corrected the instrument played by Michel Dubeau in the description ...it's a Shakuhachi...Japanese flûte...Michel is one of the few musicians who play this instrument in Canada, the only one in Québec anyway....we are so lucky to have him play in the band...he also play different saxes (soprano, tenor, Alto) as well as bass clarinet, C flûte and even Bag pipe...an incredible musicien.

  • Interesting! Congratulations for Michel, he reminded me of Yusef Lateef, who plays many wind instruments, including oriental instruments like that Shakuhachi. But the other musicians in your band are great too.

I bet Fujiyama and The City is Crying (both from the same album as Koto Song) would sound great if you guys played it!

  • Incredible stuff... one of my favorite songs by Brubeck, and this version is sheer perfection with the bamboo flute, I'm really impressed.
