@fruitfuljames15 im wondering the same thing

@fruitfuljames15 Progressive hair loss in the non-transplanted hair is always a risk. However, medical treatments can dramatically slow and often stop male pattern hair loss. For patients in their early 20's I always recommend stabilization of the hair loss with medical therapy prior to a conservative session of transplantation. The reality is that you still might need additional hair transplants about 7-10 yrs down the road, however, even with effective medical hair loss treatments. -Dr. B.

im 20 and i have a bad receding hairline im wondering if i should get a hair transplant, but im worried that if i get one, years down the road ill start losing hair on top and i might have to pay out for another one what should i do ?
Does Dr Bauman do the FUE on whoever has the cash or does he turn away people who are likely to have progressive hair loss?
After all isn't all hair loss progressive...
capgains 1 month ago
@capgains Yes you are right, all hereditary hair loss is progressive without treatment. Medical treatment is *always* recommended to reduce the need for future hair transplantation. Every month, we turn away people who have inappropriate expectations about what results a hair transplantation procedure provides. --Dr. Bauman

@obram17 Not sure about your situation, but most people complete their restoration with one or two hair transplants these days... My Dad 0:58 needed three, however! If you have a linear scar, that's from the old-style strip harvesting, NOT NeoGraft FUE. --Dr. Alan J. Bauman

How long does it take to recover from a receding hairline transplant?
badmuthasuka 4 months ago
@badmuthasuka It takes about a week to cosmetically recover from a hair transplant. By that time, scabs are gone and you are back in your regular routine. Since there are no stitches or staples to remove with the NeoGraft FUE technique, there is no prolonged activity restriction... you can be back in the gym in three days and never have a linear scar to hide.
