the video title and the video explain it all but for those of you who want to know in a bit more detail, I bought the machine off ebay and everything is fine but the Fan goes absolutely mental and really loud when the CPU is in use at 100% or just below it. I would like to know if this is a fault or it is normal. Cheers!

  • Well dude i got one and i can't tell if its on or off without looking at the lights on the front. What i would advise is open the pc and clean out all the dust and old thermad paste on your heat sink and cpu

  • HEY this is my First comment.

That computer dose not sound good at all.

I know what the problem is!

    It's a Dell

    The solution is!

sell that piece of so called technology and build your own!

How can we take any of your videos seriously if your using a pre-built computer and on top of that its a god forsaking DELL

  • @blazinbloke nope, the fans don't need replacement..if u put any other fan its doing the same thing. Because it is PWM controlled.

The fans are NMB-MAT and they are industrial fans blowing at 201CFM! Stock fans or costumer fans blow at maximum 100 CFM at a fairly high price..about 80CFM in normal prices on fans.

Theres no error or any fault..they are just made to be used in servers and enterprise machines not end user costumer in a home or office..

  • OOOH! I can already spot the dust sticking out on the grill at 0:39..I have one of these, completely rebuilt. I had no use for it so I had some fun with it, the grill is removed, and applied again flat as the front grill...two fans in the front and one on the cpu and two on the back. I can tell u after the mod. I get temps under room temperature! :D

  • I downloaded the drivers as I mentioned below and that sort of helped. What really seems to have solved the problem is blastin the inside of the PC, particularly the heatsink fan area, with a can of compressed air. You will be surprised how much dust comes out. Do it outside through !!

  • Same.

  • Hiya mate. I've got the same pc and same problem. As far as I can work out, and I have been trying to find out for a long time, the fan needs replacing, The fan is the CPU cooling fan. My next job is to make sure I purchase the right part. I've seen them on ebay between £10 and £25. Also, you need to make sure you have downloaded all the updated drivers and utilities for this dell pc. Go to Dell website and then go to Support.

  • AHppens to mine aswell i just smack the top.. not too hard
