@tostoday Definitely not, it is similar to Unity.
-
@Laoch111 You like Gnome3?
-
@droidblog XP is still sticking around for now.

I think unity is very nice and ubuntu 11.04 runs very smooth(smoother than windows 7) and uses very little recourses. I installed it and erased the windows 7 that came pre installed on my laptop, for me when I was running windows 7 it was buggy, I would get some error when running a program saying that it was not responding and the screen would turn white. Windows xp is the most stable version of windows I have ever used, i have not seen a bug in windows xp yet.

Unity is introducing restrictions to the customization of Ubuntu. Which is one of reason of the multiple negative feedbacks from long time Ubuntu users. Of course, Windows users wont get the negative reviews since they are so used to restrictions. Beside, everything you can do on Unity could already be done on Gnome 2 and even better.

@alexthehaitian If needed, Windows could be customized, just not like Unity. Someone said,"..it seems like once a Linux user installs Linux, they spend more time customizing it than actually using it" Lol!

@tostoday Lets be honest here, "those who don't customize is just because they don't know how."

@alexthehaitian Sometimes, yes.

You were asking about the user friendliness of Fedora. In my opinion it is very easy to install and get up and running for common tasks. Now for anything beyond that, some Linux knowledge will come in handy. It is an absolutely brilliant system, but I'd not recommend it to very non-technical people. We have Ubuntu for that anyway:-)
