This was a funny statement, and I knew as soon as he said it that the late night people were gonna have a field day with it. That aside, let's not forget that this man won the Congressional Medal of Honor as a Vietnam P.O.W.. Read up on his story about what he did that earned him that honor. It will put the whole "Who am I, why am I here?" thing in perspective.

Saw this...from what I recall...he asked these questions from a funny sarcastic point of view...he was not at all being included in the debate...that is why he was asking, "Why am I Here...???..."...LOL...GREAT MOMENT THAT BROKE THE TENSION...

I should clarify - I posted this video because it has historical significance in modern American political history.
I am not seeking to make a comment about Admiral Stockdale's intelligence, nor his politics.
This quote often comes up in Political conversations. I felt it important that the clip be available on youtube because it is historically significant.
