https://www.inventables.com/technologies/self-lubricating-plastic-bearing - Rulon works as a low-friction material with a variety of surfaces, including mild steel and stainless steel, as well as with harder materials. It is largely unaffected by chemicals, moisture and steam, dry conditions or vacuum. A thermoplastic polymer, Rulon can be compression molded into intricate shapes, and can be extruded into cylinders and other profiles. As mentioned, Rulon is used for bearings in everything from the drum in washing machines to car parts and industrial machinery. But it is useful in other areas as well.
