Betfair closed the accounts of 3 players, and confiscated their balances. Justin7 reviews the facts and discusses Betfair's problems in the handling of these disputes.

Note - after 3 months, Betfair had contacted the players and explained the nature of the dispute.

  • email me, I will help you.

  • @Like TotallyRich: Thanks for the note. If you can't win the case, try to censor anyone publicizing it. Is it just the Betfair videos you cannot see?

  • such a shame , you help people and spend time and effort to disclose scams .. and all you get is less than 2000 views. thumb up for your effort .. cheers

  • @g1code : Thanks. Maybe if I sold picks, and promised to win 97% of my bets, more people would be interested :)

  • Hi Justin.

Betfair suspended the Japan v Ivory Coast game 24 hours before the off when it was rumoured 3 x 45min might be played. I contacted them to find out if bets placed before the suspension would stand or be void. They refused to say what their decision would be until after the game had finished - very helpful.

I have been with Betfair 9 months and this is the first time I have come across anything tacky. Although having watched this video I have reduced the balance in my account.

  • @DOCSOCKBFD777

That's bad CS. If the matched bets were graded normally, there's not much else that can be done.

  • (continued).. When I complained and told them my situation they told me the account has been closed because of breach of rules, they said they have the right to close an account when they feel necessary, they also said they can not look into my situation because the account has been closed and therefore they can not see any of the data that was on the account.. Since then I never bet with them again, iv now used William Hill for years and never had a problem.

  • I played with betfair a few years back, I placed over 300 that Haye would beat Valuev via decision, I cant remember the odds, must of been around 7/1 as Haye was the underdog and I choose the method of victory.. Anyway after the win no money went into my account, instead I got an email telling me to prove my age by sending them proof of ID. I had no scanner or way of sending a copy at the time, when I eventually got a copy and emailed it off they replied by saying my account had been terminated

  • Thanks for keeping it real!!

  • Bit off subject but betting needs to go back to the old days where you only backed i.e a horse to actually win money.Everything evolves but laying i.e horses has only corrupted what was already a corrupt concept.Im not saying ban gambling but laying is so open to corruption & when the firms actually void events due to suspicious betting patterns we have big problems.

  • Justin many thanks for your efforts in posting this video ..hopefully we can unite as a forum community and just leave betfair alltogether

  • Hi Justin dont know where the palyers are from but listening to your video my immediate approach would be to see which jurisdiction these players fall and obviously it would be either Uk, Malta or Tasmania then following on from there lodge a complaint to the gaming licensing authority or board. It is noted that Betair is perhaps the biggest online bookmaker but yet IMHO these complaints are difficult to understand..similar to facebook complaints...perhaps too big and with deep pockets..
