you did quite a good job but it isn't very accurate. i've made my own version which well fits amazing lol. i don't say it's perfect, it's just more accurate. if you want to try my version pm me and i'll give you the link.

does anyone know how to use the wired controller from the 360 of guitar hero to play this game?

actually, thats what i use
1. make sure it is installed and that your computer recognizes it
2. go into the settings for FoF and go to the key mappings (you have yo use your keyboard to get there for now)
3. set up the keys (ex. fret 1 would be green)
and it might take a second try to get the picks set up right, my first time i had it set up, if you used the pick up it went down

OK the guitar is plugged and it's recognized when i open up the game and go to controls and try to switch the controls the guitar dosen't work at all and i made sure the guitar is fully recognized and it's plugged in correctly!!!

make sure the guitar is plugged in before you start the game.
if thats not it make sure you are pressing enter on the controls to switch the key, it will pop up a window telling you to put a new key, then you press the key on the guitar (no offence, you probably already know this, but there are a lot of noobs these days)
also, make sure the game is up-to-date
