Docs without Team Repair are kind of useless, because you cant really kill anything which doesnt help you level up faster and if u upgrade engine first it will take you a lot of time to get Team Repair
-
I find it's usually more useful to upgrade Engine, then Team Repair finishing with Far Sight (especially in a big game), because the high speed allows you to run away from most major threats, and get to other team mates quicker. Also makes you less vunerable to other players wanting to kill you.

docs good for staying back and bashers good for attack keep at least one of each on your team

doc can be very useful in situations like this, although stingers are better. For me, if there's less than two low healthed minions (sneaky and dash) then i upgrade far sight to 4, engine to 3. Afterwards, i go 3, 10, 8. This will allow me to run away from most minions, and there's no point in healing something that's at full health, since far sight allows you to predict movements and prepare for them.
Bad music choice for the Doc mate. =/

You can, however get a lot of experience from attacking the towers which helps upgrade your engine to level 10 very quickly, which then allows you to get team repair, having maxed the engine skill you can catch up to your allies that really need healing, and you can also stop other minions trying to chase down your allies, and even repair on skill level 1 isn't completely useless in the early stages of the game, it's usually enough to stop your allies dying.
