PLEASE READ!
I am still working on how to use Sony Vegas, so I'm sorry for any glitches.
This effect is called Bevel & Emboss in Photoshop on Layer Styles.
(Double click the layers, click on bevel..etc)

I hope this is easy for you.
Once done with the image, you can repeat the selection process again
(Select all - load heart) and paste the finished product onto another image.

@brobi06 i made the heart selection myself.

to make it, you make/find a heart that's a solid color,

use the magic wand to select the inside.

then you go to "selection" - "save shape".

and you can use that heart shape.
