Why they would make a kid's toy for this R rated movie is beyond me - but here it is, the stuff of nightmares - an action figure for kids from Kenner, based on the creature from the the movie Alien.

Still, you have to admit that the thing is pretty wicked cool. :-)

This aired on local Chicago TV on Thursday, November 22nd 1979.

    I watched Alien and Aliens when I was kid and didn't scare me at all. I was fascinated with the xenomorphs' design.

    The First R Rated film to have Action figures,puzzles,etc aimed at kids.ALIEN is pretty kid friendly unlike say having toys from The Omen or something

    What you guys don't realize.Us Kids wanted ALIEN toys.I was lucky to see the film when it opened(age 11)So having The Big Chap as an Action figure was Beyond cool
