gold is worth, what it has always been worth....2,000 years ago...Rome...it was worth a top notch cloak (antiquity's suit) now it's worth a top notch suit...go figure....

And the value of gold or silver are not static. You need to take into account the "paper" market where fools believe they have the Gold but instead only have the paper and nothing more. When the COMEX goes bust (and it will), you will see them rise to free market levels. Then you will see a huge panic into PMs because once people see Gold is worth way more than $1000/oz, they will rush into it no matter the value of the dollar.
