I happen to be strongly in favor of legalizing prostitution if it's strictly regulated. It's very clear to me that you have no actual experience with the realities. I have a suggestion, go out into the real world and take a good look at prostitution. Start with the county morgue of a big city and pay close attention to things like acid baths that pimps use. It's an ugly, filthy world and almost all hookers do it out of desperation. Get some real experience in life, your views will change.

Stigma and cost. Men would rather roll the dice and spend $30 on dinner for the chance of getting laid, rather than $100 for the guarantee of getting laid, plus the stigma.

When a man buys you dinner, he wants to have sex with you. Sorry, it's true. Even though women aren't directly selling their bodies for dinner, they are still being bought. He is paying you with dinner, movies and kindness for the chance of sex.

You sort of hit the nail on the head that you cannot find a valid reason against prostitution. Moral questions cannot really be addressed without looking at the spiritual component to mankind. In other words, "man does not live by bread alone" sort of idea.

You cannot justify prostitution by saying its ok because anyone who has sex after a date is one. A man pays for dinner and a movie say, and you sleep with him afterwards, that is not prostitution, he didn't pay directly for sex, and maybe didn't expect it either, you didn't have to give it to him. A prostitute sells herself for money straight up, and a man who pays for it only wants a direct link to sex without the dinner and a movie. Why would a man pay for all that if he only wants sex?

Prostitution is wrong because that's when the women ends up pregnant, and they don't want to take care of the result of there work so they just go and get an abortion! That's whats wrong with it!!!

There is no valid argument against voluntary adult prostitution as long as STDs are taken care of. The real problem is with allowing pimping. Thats where shit starts happening. Globally speaking , sex trade is almost always associated with exploitation of women by third parties. There might be ways of fixing it , but as it now stands .... its not what you would like to get into.
