  • Couldn't you have bought an external hard drive - instead.

  • The reason for the new hard drive was not only for space but for the faster speed(from 5400rpm to 7200rpm). An external HD is not only slower but it's also a pain to carry around.

  • @04:53 hahaha

  • Where are the stickers!? Is it Intel? What version of Windows is it running? What kind of crazy computer is this!?

  • i like ur cat

  • Nicely done. Thank you.

  • dude thx for posting so easy, used SuperDuper to clone drive and then followed your instructions.

  • @kuza261 I doubt you could run that same OS between two different hardware's You would mostly like have to run a dual boot to address the different hardware needs. Also like I said earlier throughput on USB 2 sucks. Unless your doing eSata possibly. I still would rather still boot of my Macbook internal drive for most purposes. And besides SSD, is just around the corner. So the real best scenario is to put a SSD internally in the macbook and be done with it and use external eSata enclosure drive

  • Well done video. Some people seem convinced that a external drive is better solution. Its not, for the fact that throughput on USB 2 is typically only 320 mb/s on a harddrive. eSata is better at upto 3000 mb/s which is comparable to most internal Sata drives. For some reason though, I still find my mac boots faster of the internal 7200 rpm Sata drive. My next upgrade will be most likely a SSD drive which is what Mac is promoting with their newer products. Or get a 60 dollar 500 Gig 7200 rpm dr.

  • @kuza261 even though they are small, an external drive has slower throughput especially running through USB 2. You could run a decent external exclosure through eSata but still not as fast as running a full internal drive. I do alot of video editing with my Macbook Pro and I7 PC. I use an external drive mostly for backups and copying the required video loops. I do my full edits on my internal drive still since the throughput will be much faster for editing and rendering purposes.

  • KITTY!!! I IZ GENIUS!!! 3:30
