Women like this are why the majority of the intellectual community doesn't take feminism serious. The majority of women involved in the feminism community havn't even read-up on feminism, and they create sexism where non exists. She is planing a feminism race card. If feminism is to move forward the advocates need to read on the subject and present evidence for what they say, I feel bad about a man be interested in me, is not evidence; its a confused petty statement about your personal feelings.

Gee, I dunno, maybe you coulda just told the guy "Thanks, but I'm tired and I'm going to bed." End of story. The fact that you felt "uncomfortable" is your problem. The guy didn't touch you, didn't suggest anything lewd, and apparently went on about his business.

I find the vitriolic responses to a women saying that a man's advances make her feel uncomfortable rather telling. You guys do realize, don't you, that you are refuting your own claim that this is "no big deal" when you make someone's discomfort an excuse for lashing out at her and at feminists in general?

Modern feminism is what gives me my superhuman misogynistic powers. Feminism is an absolute joke unless you're living in Saudi Arabia. Why put one sex over another, especially in the west where it's actually men who are most likely to suffer, not women.

If she had named him, or described him, you may have a point. She didn't make a big deal of it, she respected his anonymity, and she expressed an opinion which is, to be honest, very well justified by his behaviour (coming on to her, alone, in a lift, at 4 in the morning, after she'd made it clear she was not interested in hook-ups).
