http://RightBrainMath.com Curriculum Review magazine calls the Right Brain Math approach, "a revolutionary visual and auditory introduction to math." Sept 08. See the website for the full article. Kids call it "fun" and "cool". Oscar learns the EZ Times Table, which is patent pending, a fun, effective approach to teaching multiplication and number sense in elementary schools or in home schools. Oscar now understands that multiplication is repeated addition based on the Ones and Twos. Multiplication makes sense and he can re-create the times table. Many students create the whole times table (10 X 10 or even 20 x 20) by playing with fun patterns. The book, EZ Times Table, is available on Amazon OR at the web site EZTimesTable. You can click on the link on the right of the videos. Check the web site for feedback from kids, teachers, parents, and principals. There is also information on trainings and a DVD available as well as a blog site. EZ Times Table can be used to teach addition, subtraction, division, factors, squares, graphing and tables. It appeals to curiosity and multiple learning strategies. EZ Times Table is great for schools or home schooling, was written and presented by Tom Biesanz aka Mister Numbers. Oscar was the youngest kid in his kindergarden class when we filmed this, and is now starting first grade. See other videos by MisterNumbers. Contact tom@eztimestable.com, or go to http://RightBrainMath.com. There are also playful patterns for creating the Ones, Twos, Threes, Fours, Sixes (five different ways) Sevens, Eights, Nines, and even the whole times table on a blank table. Kids, Teachers, Parents, and schools will benefit from this fun way to approach the times table that creates a positive attitude about math. The editor of Curriculum Review magazine says, "I like the book [EZ Times Table] because it is user-friendly and can be utilized with a variety of grade-school children." See the book EZ Times Table available on Amazon.com and on the website http://RightBrainMath.com.

  • I truggled through school for years and i'm so scared of maths but i just learnt my 3 times tables in a few seconds on your website.

  • I am glad it helped you! Maybe you are not so scared of math now. There is also a video on a fun way to learn the Sevens on the Right Brain Math website (click on the link on the right of the above video). There are also EZ ways to learn the Ones, Twos, Threes, Fours, Sixes, Eights, and Nines in the book, EZ Times table.

  • It's so fun to see Oscar so engaged and excited while learning, and Tom so engaged and excited while teaching. It's obvious that Tom has created a kid-friendly, easy and fun way to learn the times table.

  • Anybody can teach this system at school or at home. My book, EZ Times Table has 25 full page tables showing each step in creating a Table. You can see how interesting the patterns are to kids. Click the link on the right of the video to go to my web site. You can click the link there to order the book for 9.95 or click the link to order it from Amazon.

  • Not sure as to what is on the page ??? You can see the kid knows his stuff but not how he works it out

  • Multiplication's easy. Last time, I always fail my mad math minute. Everytime I get wrong, I check the wrong ones in the back of my notebook. Then, I memorize the ones I don't know and passed my Mad Math Minute. I did this because I want to go to the Mad Math Minute Festival. Hope it works.

  • man i wish i had a great teacher like you wen i was young......no wonder why the kid understands everything

  • god, when i was in first grade we learned this. now a 5year old is learning it in 1 hour.....i feel stupid.

  • i struggled all the way through school with maths because of my dyscalculia and using this system i've amazed myself at what i can learn. I hope all schools catch up and start using this stuff so more kids can benefit :)

  • i'm so happy to find new strategies to make numbers fun and familiar. thank you so much Mr.Numbers, i am truly inspired....

  • @janbreathe I had an awesome 6th grade nun who taught me my nine times tables this way. They were the onely numbers I was ever sure of.

  • OMG! I love how happy Oscar is about learning this math and how great you are with him. I am so scared for my 5 yr old grandson who can't seem to concentrate on much for any length of time. I hate that we will have to send him to a neighborhood public school where there won't be teachers like this. I plan to get this book. Wish us luck!

  • I love how you let the boy be a boy and fidget a bit in his seat and not throw him on Ritalin to be still. My son learns this way too and if I stay on him to be still he is so concentrated on trying to be still that he can't focus on the work. If I let him fidget, let him bring his books to the bed, or the table etc he does perfectly.
