Wow,
Great game friend...
-
ohhh I see too bad I don't have the luxury to try things out atm. T_T I'm very occupied with my job right now as a game programmer. =] Will check it out if I have time, thanks. ^_^

You should try Dark GDK, although that requires C++. I use Dark GDK and its very good, i have some tutorials for it on my channel if you need help.

Here are the stuff that we used.
1.) OGRE (Object Oriented Graphics Engine)
2.) Fmod Ex (Sound Engine)
3.) ODE (Open Dynamics Engine) (physics engine - only used for collision)
4.) LUA (scripting language)
-
was this just strait opengl, or darkGDK, or was it c# and XNA?
-
Haha yeah it's really popular. ^_^ We are in debts with that ninja hehe.

is OGRE engine any good?

Can't really comment on this cause I haven't experienced other graphics engines out there. But yeah I find it alright, it had all the features that we needed. Ogre doesn't have a 2d ui module by default though, so that kinda gave us a hard time (but it has some ui modules developed by other people). But personally if I was to go back in time, I would rather use XNA for our thesis instead of OGRE. =]
