  • Coolest artist I've discovered in the last five years, hands down. Smokin' chops, great voice, and soul to match the greats. To have this kind of talent at such a young age is astonishing. You'll undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest artists to ever pick up a guitar. You've made my year. =o]

  • This is wicked good.

  • hipster blues! and it's fuckin awesome!

  • @dino8192 Looks like either a Gibson ES-125 or ES-150 without the pick guard.

  • anyone know what guitar that is?

  • i just came

  • this has become one of my all time favorites and i really enjoy cranking it and rolling down my windows and cruising around... i cant pinpoint one thing in the song that i like because it all just goes together so well i just melt when i hear it

  • Freakin' awesome job. Love this song and that old blues feel. It's been awile since someone like this comes around. Great job.

  • @masteryoyo28 The nice thing about music is that you can play and sing in whatever key suits you. He actually acknowledged on his Facebook page that it's open C#. Maybe he plays it in another key live - I have to admit that I have been so taken by his live performances that I probably wouldn't care what key he played in. He can do anything at all and I'll love it.

It is most certainly Open G. When Tyler opens for Jeff Beck, he uses one certain guitar for Slide, and another for everything else. On his slide guitar, he plays "Kick The Habit". He has told me, and showed me in person that "Kick The Habit" is played in Open G. During the live show, he never changes the tuning for his slide guitar. He also plays "Shackles" on it. Therefore, "Shackles" has to be in Open G.

  • @masteryoyo28 I think it's actually open C#.

  • @DomestikMC

No, it's for sure in Open G. I've been jamming to it on my Taylor. When I met him, he taught me Kick The Habit and it was in Open G. Plus I know he loves the Delta Blues, so Open G is what I'm sure it is in. Same with his slide version of "Lipstick Wonder Woman".
