  • K00gan...actually, no.

Here is how he became interested in numbers and an update on what he is doing now....for anyone who is curious:

He learned to count by watching the digital clock change in the morning with me while i tried to stay in bed a few minutes longer. We would celebrate every number change by saying "yea!". We also practiced counting numbers backwards by watching and saying the numbers as they counted down on the microwave everyday...

He is now 7 years old and in first grade. H

  • @earth212529 thats great that he didn't learn by memorization parents forget too often that the fundamentals are more important than repetition

  • This is exactly how you should be interacting and teaching your child! I love seeing the things we are taught in class being implemented in real life! :)

  • In India, 2 and 1/2 yr kids can count up to 100. A very common thing here !!

  • aww... cute... eche time theres a 7 it sounds like oven ^^

  • @k00gan But it wasn't repeating, and anybody can tell, too. It's obvious he recognizes when a number is out of place, like when he said 8, and she put 10 instead. He recognized that what was written was incorrect--that there is proof that he knows his numbers.

  • @cint23

Repeating, repeating, repeating, and... repeating. Nothing to do with smartness. Just memory.

  • aww that look he gave you when you put 7 instead of 6

  • I was 2 also when I was 2. I found a counting book at my day-care and I memorized it. And now I am a champion math geek! So sweat
