  • Nice, this spring my compost pile will sit on top of a thick bed of fresh wood-charcoal, to absorb all the nutrient run-off.

  • if c02 is coming out then the wood would turn to ash apose to charcoal. other things like hydrogen and sulfur be burnt out

  • Well it's the traditional way but you and I know that they need to use some gasifiers and make use of that gas by burning it and thereby eliminating the CO2 that goes int the air. That way they get flames and heat (for whatever they need) AND charcoal.
