you seem the type to be all butt hurt over the fact that a 20 year old domestic beat the crap out of a new import.

i hate guys who diss on imports,im a gm guy but you have to respect the power and speed that much of these imports have and on top of all that still beat us in fuel milage, almost sounds like a whin whin situation and honda for example may be based overseas but the cars are made here unlike alot of our u.s. companies who are sending everything to mexico, china, ect. like chrysler who closed their plant in stl. mo and sent everything from that plant to mexico except the workers

The reality is in 1996 when Subaru rolled out vehicles that were riding next to Chevy LT1s..and GM the game was over..what did Gm do..nothing...think about it in 9years..GM went from a LT1 camaro with 275hp to a LS1 with 310hp...5k more for the SS package which got 15hp more..its all a joke..here it is 20 years later and they are just getting to 400hp with heavy cars that arent that much faster than cars 10years ago..Gm should have had 400hp stock camaros in 2000, instead they quit in 2002..

Ok let me enlighten ppl and maybe we can get past this ricer American bs...its real simple...GM and FOrd gave up on the young ppl with 1990s sucky tech low hp and 30k hot rods..Gone are days when u could get old chevy a weekend and roll out 600hp urself..The young ppl had no choice but to buy what they can afford..and a 13k Civic SI in the 80s was running circles around american V8s so , lets place the blame where it belongs..Executives preying on middle aged ppl, forgeting muscle car integrety

pshh i respect muscle but whoever said 3.4 liter pushing 300 horse is rare... thats dumb... the evo is a 2.0 with 291 hp stock and 300lb of tq.. simple as this... muscle cars are cool but throw in 1 turn and its all over.. and as for a straight.. people underestimate the jap car until it beats the american cars... i have an evo x, only put like 2500 bucks into it for performance and my 2 liter engine puts out 412 at the crank w/ 420lbs of tq..385 awhp... im running 12 flat at 116..id smoke that

I hate all these traitor's who support Japanese cars while our country struggles financially because dumbfucks like these buy imports. I've bought nothing but American cars and they're very reliable. I own a Camaro SS, my first ride was an '87 Fiero GT so stop with the lame excuses. Next time one loses their jobs, they should see what they're driving before they start whining about it. And we need to dig a large hole, throw all these import lovers in it then throw a bomb in it.

American muscle wins every time!

Actually from what I can tell, it's a stock 1989 Trans am with a buick 3.8L turbo. But guess what? When I get my 700r4 Transmission I'd probably be able to spank your Lancer. Shit I just finished my building up a 454. With an Edelbroke dual carb tunnel ram intake manifold, 2 Holley 750 CFM Carbs, Forge aluminum pistons, connecting rods and crank, L88 High rise, High compression Cam, MSD ignition & distributer. 4:11.1 rear end and fresh pair of drag slicks to top my 1980 Corvette.
-
That's because the 89 turbo trans am had a Buick 3.8L turbo.
-
And it only had a 3.4 and pushed 300 horse. Very rare car
-
That trans am is prob stock. In 89 the turbo trans am came out and that thing was a boss it used a better grand national and would shit
On a lot of cars
Man I keep coming back to look at this video and i amazes me the comments that are still being put up. As I have said beforem this was my evo X... Completely stock, rolling the launch to save the clutch. I ran a low 14 second pass against this guy.
I get a kick out of the people that say it is not an evo, That's why i have the small wing.... just for people like that.

@Gexxer Yeah, there are a lot of "bench top" racers that never have been on the track!
