People who are trying to tell others about the on-going and further coming economic crisis and collapse of 2009 and 2010 are getting burned out. Sometimes you need to step back and just have a little fun and do something that will help ease the burden. There is also too much speculation going on and there needs to be more hard core truth backed by proof. Discuss your thoughts.

  • ha!!!!!!!!!!!! you look like my mom, only white, I'm going to the wisconsin dells in april, because im not letting the enemy steal my joy, im going to keep living for God and I have small children i cannot act like a looney infront of them, so many people have ceased to live, because of fear.

  • I feel the same way. So much negativity these days. As you recently did, I feel the need to turn the computer off for a few days. I spend FAR too much time sitting here and devouring every scrap of information. Psychologicaly it's not good. Physically also, not good. I have unsubscribed to a few people as all they did was speculate.

  • Agreed.

I don't know that your pleas will go heeded, but I see this all the time in videos and websites all over the place.

Even if I agree with them, I can't use them for reference. It's frustrating.

They might talk about way out there kind of things as if they are established fact, yet they are not. Where do you get this stuff from?

Where have all the true journalists gone?

  • That said, I agree that it is absolutely vital to spend at least a few hours each day and do something constructive, preferably outside, other than ANY kind of "sittin' in a chair" task.

  • It's not a surprise, after all, that some media mavens recently claimed some folk were "addicted to the internet," but they never mention "addicted to television," the REAL bane of the brain, IMHO. Remember, we have control over what we use our 'puters for, not so much with the trash tube. That's why I rarely turn on the tube anymore.

  • At least a computer is interactive and one decides what one wants to do with it and what content to view/play on it, if any. And, of course, one doesn't have to merely view stuff, but they can create stuff, write stuff, edit stuff, read stuff, etc.

  • I agree to some extent, but actually "the computer" is not the fatigue inducer, but the content that folk view on their computer. It's similar to the issues with a mind-numbed "couch potato" watching the boob tube all day. The tube ain't so much the problem as the content on it that folk decide to fill their minds with daily.

  • Hi Scutter, I'm not spending 24 hours a day researching -- at least 8 hours a day I'm trying to get my preps done. HA! Seriously, I am experiencing feeling like I'm"behind" and needing to catch up a lot lately. And then, there's the feelings of wondering if what I've done is "enough".

I have a hard time stepping back and away from the whole situation.

  • Great advice, love your do!
