Shifting in the Icon boots did take a little bit of getting used to, but it was fine after a few hours. I didn't notice an issue with too much traction on the boot. I bought the SMX5's after my accident and I personally like them more than the Field Armor. They are comfortable and have more protection.
Since you have these boots i thought I'd ask; the boots seem bulkier than say Alpinestar's SMX5 boots. are you able to shift without snags or issues like that? also the sole seems to have a bit too much traction than regular riding boots out there? did you notice an issue with that as well.
I'm thinking of buying either these of the SMX5 ones. your input would be appreciated.
is there any way you can do a review on the icon timax trx long gloves?

I crashed in these boot. The only compliant I have is that they could use a little more protection for the ankles. Very comfortable boots!
