This is a video of a 1997 Ford Explorer with burned out dash lights & an inaccurate gear select indicator. I show how to remove the instrument cluster, change the bulbs, & replace the shift indicator. While editing the video, I noticed that I couldn't stop saying "now". Sorry. You'll see what I mean at the end of the video.

  • Where do you get the gear indicator?

  • @Randomtech6 Ford dealer parts dept.

  • Would this work on a ford 1980 f150

  • @thebadblue123 I would expect a 1980 to be easier.

  • I have a 99 Ranger. my parking lights and my cluster lights are out, i replaced the fuses, checked the bulbs, there is no relay for both lights, even tho in the manual it says that there is, so couldnt really check that. when i turn the multi switch to turn on the lights. my head lights are the only lights that come on. do you have any advice? im stuck

  • @maddogmatt44 I have replaced lots of multifunction switches in Fords. Also check the wiring & headlight switch. Melted connectors on headlight switches & multifunction switches are common too.
