Nov 1990, China signed the first Su-27SK`s contract after hard negotiation with Russia.Jun 27, 1992, the first 8 Su-27SK & 4 Su-27UBK arrived Wuhu airbase in China. In Nov 1992, PLA received all their first batch of 26 Su-27s. In 1995 PLA bought the second batch of Su-27s, the more advanced Su-27SMK, total 24 fighters.
1992年6月27日首批共12架苏-27战斗机，其中包括8架苏-27SK单座型和4架苏-27UBK双座教练型，由俄罗斯后贝加尔军区吉达机场起飞，经蒙古于当日上午­10时15分安全飞抵中国空军芜湖基地。苏-27正式加入了解放军空军装备序列。1992年11月8日，所有订购的战斗机全部交付，并额外得到了两架供研究测试使用。之后­中俄之间继续苏-27的贸易，包括上述12架苏-27在内，中国共有苏-27SK和UBK共26架。1995年中国采购第二批，但型号变为更先进的苏-27SMK，共24­架。---我们的信念，为了祖国的安宁而坚强；我们的梦想，为了世界的和平而延续...

But more recently, china produces all it's weapons domestically, it's building highly advanced indigenous desroyers at the moment. It had to reverse engineer to catch up but it' has caught up in most areas. The tide is turning.
