Sister Terezinha Cecchin, RSHM delivered the keynote address for Loyola Marymount University's annual Mission Day 2011 titled "Nurturing Hope in a Troubled World." Mission Day is a part of Heritage Week and aims to bring together the LMU Community to celebrate their religious identity, which is its Jesuit, Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, founders of Marymount, and Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange traditions. Sister Terezinha spoke to a standing room only audience, at the Sacred Heart Chapel, about the history and ministries of the RSHM worldwide.
The RSHM, an international apostolic congregation of women religious, are called to know and love God and to make that love known to others. As we become more deeply inserted in the realities of the Church and the world, we use our individual and corporate talents to work creatively in diverse ministries for the promotion of justice.
