  • Much of the storm damage here after Hurricane Irene last summer could have been prevented by proper tree selection and pruning. The majority of split or damaged trees were Red/Silver Maple and Bradford Pears. Hickories and Willow Oak seemed to be the sturdiest with pretty close to 0% loss.

    Interesting about the Sapsuckers...they are killing a 60 foot Atlas Cedar that dominates the yard at one of my clients home. Not really sure what to do about it. They drilled holes as high as I can see.
