Pacora, Panama : Salted Cow Hides : VIDEO 3 of 5

This video was taken on my first trip to the small town of Pacora 30 miles to the west of Panama City, Republic of Panama. I was visiting a location were cow skins are taken to be salted, and stored before being folded and packed into containers, 800 at a time, driven to the Port of Panama ( Panama Canal) then a 3 week journey to Bankok, Thailand. In Bangkok they are cured and tanned and then sold to car manufactures such as Toyota, Nissan and Honda for their car seats.
