Upside down Christmas tree with spinners, ornamotors. Notice the larger ornaments at the top and then gradually get smaller towards the bottom. Most of the ornaments on the tree are suspended by spinners. It takes a long time to decorate and insert each spinner into the light socket. I am always tinkering with the tree until I feel it is just perfect. This video is pretty close to my "perfect" project. I only changed a few things after posting this video.

  • Each ornament is plugged into a motorized spinner that plugs into one of the small light sockets. You pop out the light and plug IN the spinner. You can Google Ornamotion. You can buy the little spinners there and try it on your own tree. I have been collecting them for many years. This was the first year I put up an UpsideDown Tree. At first, it looked so crazy, but now I love it.

  • you have a right to your opinion but in reality, you don't walk thru a forest and see ornaments and lights on the trees either. This might help: According to legend, the original Christmas tree was used as a symbol of religious devotion by Christian missionaries who used the evergreen to explain a basic religious tenet of the Trinity - God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.By the 12th century it was being hung, upside-down from ceilings at Christmastime , as a symbol of Christianity.

  • How did you get the balls to spin?

  • It doesn't look like much just standing there but when you turn on the lights that things just pops. It's so beautiful. I love the spinning ornaments, it really makes it hypnotizing. I think it's gorgeous and there is nothing wrong with having whimsy at ANY time of the year.
