Now just to have a closer look at what we got. We've got clip on glasses, normal glasses, and on the back of the monitor
we've got mains, earphone, VGA, DVI and HDMI.

In the booklets we've got:
- Tridef Software (Check list prior to setting up the Tridef 3D program),
- Cinema 3D Monitor (CD with Owner's Manual and Driver Install File)
- Warranty Card
- Quick Installation Guide TriDef 3D Software
- Tridef 3D Installer (Ver 1.2.0 CD)
- Easy Setup Guide

That's probably about it - enjoy!

  • Was the tridef trial software or full?

  • @JamesAColemanFan Hi, JamesAColemanFan, it is the LG OEM version of Tridef 3D 3.2.19 on my CD. See the Tridef download page. There are two types: retail and OEM. (I haven't tried any later versions yet)

  • I looked at the one at the store near my house and saw some _vertical_ scanlines (not the horizonal interlace ones)the best that I can describe them is that they looked like faint vertical nonmoving scanlines -

Are they present in all displays?

  • @yuriythebest Hi yuriythebest, I have not noticed vertical scanlines on my LG D2342P. I do notice that my head has to be at the same height as the display otherwise the display is not as bright and the colours are strange.

  • does this work for xbox?

  • @Ferret61 Hi, I found home to do 2d to 3d conversion. Start -> All Programs -> TriDef 3D -> TriDef 3D Media Player, or right-click a supported media file (e.g. .flv, .ts) in Windows Explorer and choose "Play with TriDef 3D Media Player". There is an "Adjust 3D Scene Depth" popup slider, 0 no effect, 100 gives black bars at side of screen and makes me feel cross eyed. It's not a true 3D effect (left and right eyes do not see from different angles), more like screen edge moved for each eye.

  • @coool121212 Hi coool121212, I understand from your PM you want to play. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

on an xbox in 3D? Sorry I haven't got an Xbox but I see the game is supported in 3D by Tridef on the PC at Direct X level 9. Also I would not want to watch any automatic 2D to 3D conversion as it will not be true 3D.

  • @Ferret61 thanks! btw can you please tell me or upload a video showing how to do the 2d to 3d conversion? and does the 3d work with a vga input?

  • @coool121212 Hi coool121212, I bought it in the UK and it came with a VGA cable and a DVI able, but no HDMI cable. (I bought a DVI-HDMI cable on ebay, as my nvidia card doesn't have HDMI out. The HDMI cable I had with my 3D bluray player worked fine with it). It doesn't have built in speakers. It has an earphone socket e.g. for sound taken from HDMI input.
