A slightly more edited video, fancied doing something a bit different :)
Thanks so much for nearly 1300 subscribers, it means a lot.

Toby's doing well at the mo, except he's started itching his mane and tail loads to the extent that he only has a few strands of mane left, a self-hogging pony! If anyone has any tips on how to treat sweetitch etc please let me know. He is now wearing a fly rug, plus fly spray and has his mane and tail regularly washed with soothing shampoo.

Star is coming on great (2nd clip in the video is her first ever time jumping 3 foot with a rider). I need to get my confidence up more, I'm so out of practice jumping! Thanks to everyone who offered advice about releasing, I'm slowly improving.

Got to take my friends pony jumping and did 65cm clear round and got a rosette! My first in years, as I haven't properly competed since having Toby due to all his injuries.

I'll be heading off to Uni in Leeds in September so will probably stop making videos as I wont really be getting new clips but I'll try and keep watching all yours.

Hope everyone's having a good summer!
Jess x

  • Sweetich? If you can afford it get a Boett or a Demeulenkamp rug, best thing is to get it on before they start itching about march time, I know that doesn't help now but thought I'd mention :p Skratch herbal supplement worked on Duke for a while, but made him stink AWFUL, bleugh. Benzyl benzoate helped a bit too, can get that from a chemist to bath with, some horse shampoos have it in too so look for it in ingredients :) Beautiful video xxx

  • @horses4eva888 We were going to get a Boett but ended up getting a Rambo which apparently are tougher and he's already rubbed holes in it. At least I'm prepared for next year! Thanks for the advice :D xxxx

  • another fab video, where do you get the inspiration :)

storm has been itching a lot too and we have been using hibbi scrub, midge-away, and e45 cream, and the e45 cream used with soothing shampoo seems to work the best, but the others are good too :D

    <3 xx

  • @TeganxxxBobbyDazzler Thanks so much :D We're using Sudocrem, which is similar to E45 and seems to be soothing him a bit. Poor ponies! xxxxx
