Audrina Hepburn: Murdered by her 'mother'

Little Audrina lost her life because of child abuse caused by her 'mother' Ashley.

A jury found Ashley Hepburn guilty of homicide by child abuse in the death of her 16-month-old daughter, Audrina.

Ashley Hepburn's boyfriend, Brandon Lewis, was found guilty of aiding and abetting homicide by child abuse.


Investigators said that Hepburn killed her daughter by beating her, causing irreparable brain damage. They said Lewis knew it was going on and did nothing to stop it.

Audrina died Oct. 17, 2009, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Hepburn was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Lewis was sentenced to 10 years.

i just dont understand how a little baby could make a person so upset they have to beat them to death if you get that upset walk away of if you cant handle it then give the child up but for god sakes dont kill your child there are alot of people that would love to be parents if you dont want to

@ksmurfer The age at which you can leave an infant anonymously, without being charged with child abandonement, under the safe haven laws, vary from state to state; but in most states range from 3 days old to 1 month old. Audrina was too old. However, If the mother expressed a concern that she might harm her child to a doctor, religious leader or child protective services Audrina would have been removed from her care without legal reprecussions.

After watching the video just now, all I can say is Dear God, why!!?? Such a sweet lovable baby girl. What kind of monster could abuse her so severely she dies or even lay a hand on her unless it's for loving and caring for her. Those big blue eyes are going to stay in my memory for quite a while.

There is no excuse for this. I was in this situation. 19 4 month old I left my husband 4 awhile. no money no place to go. I went to a battered woman's shelter. I was going back and forth from breast to bottle as well only difference was I did not water it down. We stayed there 6 weeks. Hubby and I worked things out we went back home and now I have 2 boys. She kept that baby covered up lied about how he was doing. That bitch should be rotting in jail right now. Common sense bitch.

How can a judge allow bail for someone who murdered a precious Angel?? I am in tears right now the last picture hit me so hard. I am a 24 year old mother of 2. People give me looks and tell me I am so young. You know what I love my baby's my husband is the only man I have ever been with and he is a good dad. Don't judge me I will never be in court for hurting my children in any way I love kids and baby's. If you don't want them my door is always open. I will take them in and give them love.
