Any Pens fan with any sense at all would not argue with you, as Gretzky won 4 cups vs Lemieux's 2, but we all know that Lemieux was the better player :-p

This hatred for Crosby from anyone that is a non-Penguins fan, and the hatred for Ovechkin from Penguins fans is moronic. Ovechkin has calmed down on his 15 stride hits, and Crosby has calmed down with his crying, so why can't we enjoy the fact that two of the best players ever are playing in the NHL right NOW?

Lemieux might've been a better hitter than Gretzky, since he was both taller and heavier, but a better player? C'mon man, you gotta remove the homer goggles. Don't even bother with the Cups, Gretzky has Lemieux beaten by a longshot in scoring and NHL records alone. Even if Lemieux didn't go down to cancer which unfortunatley he did, he still wouldn'tve beat Gretzky. Gretzky scored 4 200pt seasons, 3 back to back. Lemieux came 1 point short, once, in 89. He was amazing, but wasn't Gretzky.

I don't know who you've talked to that defends Matt Cooke,but they are probably 17 if they defend him.Or maybe they only started to watch hockey when Sid came along.Cooke has talent theres no doubt about it.He's a valuable assest on the PK.You don't last 11 yrs in the NHL without having talent.However,he plays with an edge,and always has.For some reason he likes to go over that edge.It's a shame he lets his antics over shadow how valuable he can be.hopefully he changes,but i doubt he wil

@Captain - I stand corrected. I ditched cable and hadn't checked the standings in a while. I incorrectly assumed all the whining from the other end of the turnpike was because of losses.

@slot - these two guys' CCHA years overlapped by two years and they know each other. Odds are 10-1 that Wallace called up Steckel and said 'let's go and get the fans beyond this distraction'. So the vengeance was more for the fans still clinging to the belief that it was deliberate. Even Boulerice knows it was accidental contact.
