Martha Stringer has FSGS nephrotic syndrome, and is the face of the newly launched fundraising campaign: Martha's Campaign raising funds for kidney research in the aim to find a cure for Martha. Martha will need a kidney transplant in the next 5 years.

My brother and I would like to sponsor you for the 10k run. I am a 31 year old woman who was diagnosed with FSGS 6 years ago, my brother also has this disease, diagnosed 3 years ago, aged 26. We would like to help?

Just to let you know darling that you are not alone. I have FSGS, diagnosed 5 years ago and have to take lots of medication, my brother also has this disease, but you look much braver than us! Good luck with all of the fundraising, people need to be made aware of this terrible disease. I hope that you continue to do a fantastic job more research is needed. You are a brave little girl, let's hope we all get better xxx
