Informal live performance of ''Blue Velvet'' by Rob Hart

It was my first real go at singing this song after learning it earlier that day - so please forgive any mistakes!

This is a great song, and encompasses all the right kinds of sentiment and style of the kind of music that I enjoy the most. Written by Bernie Wayne and Lee Morris, it has been recorded by several artists. My favorite version is by Bobby Vinton which was a hit record in 1963 - followed closely by the Moonglows version from 1955. It was also the inspiration for a David Lynch classic.

I have my own band, and hopefully if you liked this you will enjoy my band too. You can hear us at www.myspace.com/thespydersuk

Until Next Time.......Keep Swingin'
