Only Liam could interpret other people's songs so brilliantly, and make them so much his own. This is only one of many. He is probably giving the angels examples of how to do it! May God reward him as he deserves.

Amazing performance... Even more amazing is the quality of his voice...virtually unchanged; as rich and beautiful as in his younger days. RIP, dear Liam...You gave me and my family so much joy, and filled a difficult part of my life with such beauty, strength and courage as you will never know. I have never been so deeply saddened at the passing of an artist/musician as much as the passing of Liam... I feel such a sense of personal loss as well as a loss for the world.

I can watch this every day. This performance is essentially a salvation to me. To hear Liam Clancy sing this song is timeless. The pain is not gone in the years, but it makes me believe that it can be. Liam has the best voice, and his understanding of the lyrics is brilliant, nothing else. Shane is one of the purest lyrical artists of all time..if it weren't for all the alcohol he probably could have sang it like this.
