Shappy Seasholtz performed "Whale Song for My Bastard Son" as part of the Elephant Engine High Dive Revival performance at NYU October 7th, 2009 also featuring Anis Mojgani, Derrick Brown, Buddy Wakefield with special guests Andrea Gibson & Crisitin O'Keefe Aptowitz.
@xKarolina It's satirizing "Central Park" by Rachel McKibbens. They were members of neighboring slam scenes, yo. She thought it was hilarious. Check it out.

This was a damn good show, too. The revival crew was fantastic!... but I didn't laugh for this poem. I don't think it's meant to be funny, at all. It's actually really deep and profound and sad as all hell.
